21.3% fewer high-growth enterprises in 2020

Vienna, 2021-12-16 – In 2020, according to preliminary data from Statistics Austria, there were 3 075 enterprises in Austria with more than ten employees whose number of employees grew by at least 10% within three years. Compared to the pre-Corona year 2019, the number of high-growth enterprises in 2020 decreased by more than a fifth (-21.3%, 2019: 3 906 high-growth enterprises).
